New homes being built at Highland Park are the focus of a water
efficiency initiative being carried out by water supplier South East
Water in conjunction with Kent County Council, the Environment
Agency and homebuilder Hillreed Homes. South East Water is
extending trials of water efficient devices by installing them
in many of the new homes to find out how effective they are and
how much water can be saved.
As part of this study as well as gathering data on the use of
water by customers it is important to find out more about the preferences
and views of Highland Park households. South East Water will
shortly be undertaking surveys with all households at Highland
Park. This will enable a better understanding of how useful
the features really are, and whether those households using the
equipment notice any differences compared to their previous homes.
The purpose of the study is to help everyone – consumers,
house builders, planning authorities, water companies and others – play
a greater and more effective part in conserving our precious water
resources and do their bit for the environment.
All information provided by households will be treated
in the strictest of confidence and only used for this study. Details
will not be passed on to any third party or used for any other
purpose.
All
South East Water staff carry personal identification which customers
should check before offering any responses to the surveys.
South East Water would like to thank its customers at Highland Park
for their participation in this important study.
